3-4 zoom calls with a thorough walk through of the role. They aren't super interested in you or your experience since they expect to teach you everything and the churn rate is high.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (Lebanon, NJ) in Feb 2024
Interview
Extremely long process. I actually had 4 total interviews. All in person. First interview was with the hiring manager. First interview was with the hiring manager, the second interview was with one of the back office managers. Everything about the interviews was fine, very professional. The third interview was with one of the senior vice presidents which was supposedly the last interview. Then I was told I would hear back. I was shocked to learn that they actually reached out to all three of my references. For a back office job? Seriously? About 2 weeks later I received an email that they thought I’d be a better fit for another role and invited me to ANOTHER interview. I went and the hiring manager immediately told me he didn’t think I was a good fit. Never heard back. It’s honestly shocking how much time and resources these companies waste for a 50k a year back office job.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at New York Life (New York, NY)
Interview
One round, not bad. Got asked derveral question by person you will be reporting to. I heard abt two weeks after the interview. The interview was average. Prepare to get asked a decent amount of behavorial questions.
