I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2013
Interview
The meetings were very disorganized and really uncomfortable. I met with 10 people individually and had the same conversation separately with each of them. What a colossal waste of time. It was very obvious that none of them had ever hired or fired anyone. It was also apparent that they were uncomfortable because they didn't know how to conduct an interview.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at New York Life (Melville, NY) in May 2014
Interview
Received email to come in for interview. Asked to wait in lobby. Asked to take personality online survey. Rated on answers. Called in to an interview. Interviewer was great. There is a sub contract where goals have to be met before they offer a perm contract. Training offered as well as a mentor. Sales position.
