Interview
It seemed more like who I could help them recruit then an interview for myself. I feel that a lot was left out in order to paint a picture of all the money that they make. No leads are given.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (New York, NY) in Mar 2014
Interview
The interview process was very easy. There were two rounds of interviews- both were over the phone. The process took 4-6 weeks. All of the questions were mostly behavioral. The recruiters are very friendly and just want to get to know you more. No technical questions.

Question 1
Tell me a time you had a challenge in a group setting and how did you react?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at New York Life in Jun 2013
Interview
Introduced by a recruiter and had an hour long interview with HR. The HR manager asked about myself and how I reacted in a couple situations. He asked a lot of questions regarding volumes of marketing but did not have a marketing background and was not able to put my responses in any type of context. After that interview, I was asked to provide a write up on direct response marketing.
I felt that the HR was screening candidates with some pretty interesting questions, but was not able to make the yes/no response -- since nuances are important. Therefore the hiring manager was not going to get any workable feedback on any of the candidates. Sometimes it is more important to understand how a candidate thinks and approaches things that the actual number of kits mailed out of a door in a marketing role.
