I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at New York Life (New York, NY)
Interview
They require 4 interviews which is absurd.
The online application takes 2 hours-- its redundant.
I met with some kid and then his managing partner.
It is a pyramid scam. You will spend thousands of dollars on office fees they charge and licenses and maybe make $120 on an insurance sale and that money will be demanded back if your client cancels his policy within 1 year.
No one who works here makes money. They encourage you to sell to your family and friends.
Getting the health license is ridiculous as the health care laws change every year.
You will waste 75 hours a week working for free and go into debt.
These shady companies saturate the market with "work for free" agents as it does not cost the company one penny as you get zero salary.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (Baltimore, MD) in Jul 2016
Interview
Two rounds of interview, the interviewers were very nice. After went through my resume, the manager introduced me how NYLife work and told me how to step into success. After the first interview, I waited for two weeks and no response, so I sent another follow up email to the manager, and the manager invited me to the second round. The second round interview was about salary. The range of salary for entry level positions was very good, but no base pay.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at New York Life (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
met them at a career fair and got called in for a preliminary interview. Very nice interactive interview. It was a pleasant interview with the recruiter who also shared her experience with the company, which very nice as it encourages one to want to become part of the company.
