I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (Irvine, CA) in Feb 2020
Interview
Not a 100% clear if was a paid based on commission only, they sell you the perks if you are a great sales person. But, not clear about the payment until you sell a lot.
2 in-person interviews: one consisting mostly of EQ questions and the other being technical. The interviews lasted good 30 minutes (each) and one thing I noticed is when an interviewer realized I do not know something, I tried to corner me on that topic.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
An easier question I got was: Define Alpha, Beta, Variance, Standard Deviation on investments and what they mean.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (Waltham, MA) in Oct 2019
Interview
3 interviews, mostly informational as opposed to evaluating any hard skills. They walked me through their sales process and had lots of questions about my network because the job is basically calling your network and leveraging them to create opportunities for yourself to sell folks insurance.
