Gave in my CV online along with a cover letter and received an email back a few days later from the store manager inviting me to a group interview.
The group interview had 13 other people, mostly around late teens/early 20's and we wrote our names on a name tag and showed our ID and gave our available times. We then paired up and were given 5 mins to learn a bit about the other person which we would then have to present and introduce them to the rest of the group.
After, we were put into groups of 4/5 and the trainee-manager and manager did a role play to give us a case of a customer who was buying a gift for their mum. In our groups we then had to search around the store and put together various products that fit the case and then presented them in our groups and why we chose those products.
Before the interview the email stated we would give a demo/presentation on a LUSH product of our choice which is what we went onto do.
After, we had time left and played a game where we were each given a random object (e.g. egg timer, blue tack) and had to sell that product to everyone within 30 seconds.
It was simple and easy, don't need to be full out and was very casual and relaxed.
The second interview consists of a shop floor trail where 30 mins before you get an insight into their most favourite products and they teach you a bit about them so you are prepared to talk to customers.
They are mostly looking for people who are friendly and willing to help other people. You don't have to be outgoing and a in-your-face type person, you can also be shy (like me) but also very smiley to other people and polite. You also don't need to have a lot of knowledge about their products (I have a basic idea) and you will get the chance to do so if you get to the second interview.
