Lumen Digital Design Manager interview questions

Had three interviews over the course of a month and passed their initial screening. They said I was a top candidate. When it came down the direct manager (who was just hired) the job he described was more Jr. than described in the original job listing. He said they might not need the position after all and to follow up in a month. When I did there was no response.
