I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kumon (Phoenix, AZ)
Interview
I walked into their center and told the employee at the front desk that I was interested in a job. She spoke to the manager-who was busy at the time-and had me leave my name and number. One week later the manager called me and asked me what kind of classes I was taking, and we set up an interview for a few days later. When I went in I had to fill out an application, a math test, and a reading test (they were simple for the most part). She had me go to the little kids area and one of the employees taught me how to grade papers and stuff like that. The manager said she would call me the following week, and she did, I work my first shift tonight :)

There were no questions besides "is this something you're interested in doing"
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Kumon
Interview
My friend who worked there actually referred me to the boss at the Kumon that I applied to, and so she already knew who I was before I came in. When I got there, I was given a simple application which I filled in on the spot and then I took a reading and math test. After the test, the manager asked me a few simple questions and then told me she would look over the test and call me back. A few days later she called me to come in and I started that day.

Interview
The hiring process was a bit unprofessional at the location where I was applying for. The supervisor had me come in, take a few tests and then interview from there but I never got my interview. The person in charge forgot that she told me to come in and kept rescheduling.
