I applied online and I was first contacted by e-mail to set up a phone interview. The phone interview consisted of about 5 questions. The questions are about your teaching philosophy, leadership skills, and business knowledge. Next, I scheduled an appointment to take an algebra and reading test. Also, I read 160 pages worth of the Kumon Method. This was an attachment that was sent to me to prepare for the interview. In addition, I was sent four essay questions and was told not to worry about them. They were for later in the interviewing process. I studied really hard for the algebra test. Only had a week to get better. I have been out of school for a while and I have forgotten a lot. You are given only 45 minutes to complete 32 problems on each test. I aced the reading test, but did awful on the math, because I wasn't fast enough. Needless to say, I didn't get the job. If I continued in the interviewing process, I would have had to interview again which may have required me to fly to New Jersey. I was told if hired there would be 6 months of paid training with a couple of weeks of it being in New Jersey again.
