I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kumon
Interview
Only one interview. I got the interview because of a friend. I was asked a few basic questions, and primarily talking about my tutoring experience. We talked about whether I prefer working with brighter or less intelligent students, and how I handled them. I also came in for a class day to observe and try grading so my speed and ability to grade could be tested.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kumon in Apr 2013
Interview
After applying, I got an e-mail from the main lady at the center to schedule an interview that week. I went in, and she gave me a simple math and reading test to take, since my position is to help the younger kids. After I finished the tests, she came over and told me a little bit about what the position entails and how the center works overall. Then she asked me if I was interested and that if I wanted it, there was an open position.
Only had 1 interview. The interviewer was a bit cold and unfriendly. Didn't ask many questions, just nodded her head repeatedly and said "mm-hmm" over and over.
Had to take a math and reading test. Not sure why employees are required to take these tests when our franchisees aren't even required to take them anymore.
