I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kumon (Whitby, ON) in Jan 2013
Interview
In the store that I worked at, it was owned by a father and his daughter. In the almost two years I worked there, I haven't seen them post ads about any open positions. It seems that most of the times, people get in through connections. I was able to secure an interview through my friend who was already working there at the time. There, essentially, if you got an interview, you get the job. I have never met one person who got an interview but did not get a job. The interview seems to be a formality more than anything.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kumon (Walled Lake, MI) in Mar 2016
Interview
The process was fairly simple. After several math and reading tests to gauge your proficiency, there is a short interview to discuss your interests and time commitments. The entire interview likely took 2 hours and was rushed because center opens in the evenings and the tests are only offered in the afternoons.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kumon
Interview
Went through behavioral and technical portions. Relatively easy behavioral portion, also went through math and reading tests. Math portion required preparation but definitely fair. Reading portion was much easier. Interviewer was also manager of the branch. Went through process pretty easily
