I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kumon (Subang Jaya) in Feb 2016
Interview
I was asked to sit for a Mathematics and English test before I was called to enter the principal's room for the interview session. I did not do so well in Mathematics but he/she advised me to multi-task instead of focusing on assisting the students in just one subject. Having an experience in teaching or working with children would be a great advantage. We also discussed on how long I was planning to work there. He/She was pretty lenient and assured me that making a mistake in the beginning would be expected since I wasn't used to their work culture yet.
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kumon (Fontana, CA) in Apr 2013
Interview
The head center director gave me a call and then we set up a one on one in person interview. I was offered the position after the one on one interview was done.

Question 1
Do you like working with children, what experience do you have?
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kumon (Tustin, CA) in Sep 2014
Interview
I applied online and was contacted for a phone interview. They asked very simple questions like why I would like to work there and what are my strengths and weaknesses. After phone interview I was asked to schedule an in person interview and meet the boss. The whole process was very laid back and fairly straight forward. They don't ask you any trick questions or anything too complicated. After my in-person interview I was asked for my schedule and when I could start working. The boss had me fill out paperwork to become an official employee and I was hired on the spot. The whole process took about a week, but would have been quicker if I scheduled my in-person interview earlier.
