It was an online interview asking some basic questions about myself, and relevant experiences. I also had to do a short exam testing my math and reading skills. Overall it wasn’t too bad, and if you know your basic math and reading you should do fine.

Interview
The Kumon instructor interview process usually starts with an introduction to the Kumon Method, where you’ll discuss your understanding of its philosophy and how it promotes self-learning through incremental practice. You’ll likely be asked about your experience working with children, your teaching style, and how you would help students develop discipline, confidence, and independence. The interviewer may ask how you would manage a classroom of diverse learners, assess student progress, and handle any challenges students face in mastering skills. You may also be given sample worksheets to review or solve, allowing you to demonstrate your problem-solving approach and how you would guide students through their learning journey. Throughout the interview, there’s a focus on patience, strong communication, and the ability to foster a positive learning environment that aligns with Kumon’s core values.

Interview
It was fully behavioral for me, no tests on my capability or anything like that. It seemed more of a "This is what you will have to do, is that good?" Didn't get the job immediately, but then later asked me if I could work?
