I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kmart (Glasgow, KY) in Oct 2015
Interview
Was contacted for an interview and they were very flexible as to when I could set it up. When arriving, everything was very casual and I feel very comfortable. There a lot of just casual conversation on a "get to know you" subject line. If all interviews were like this, they wouldn't be so scary.

I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Kmart (Philadelphia, PA) in Apr 2012
Interview
Very simple. I was only 16, wore casual clothes (because I didn't really know better lol), and sat with the HR manager for a very informal interview. After only a few minutes, she informed me I would be coming back to do some paperwork and orientation. Orientation was basically me and 2 or 3 others going over very basic retail scenarios and store policies.
