I applied online. I interviewed at Klarna (Berlín) in Jun 2020
Interview
Applied via LinkedIn -- Received an invite for the logical test, 15 minutes 18 questions
Identify patterns -- Need to be finished in 7 days or else cannot take it in the next 365 days
Got a reminder email to finish the test on the 4th day of receiving it.
1. Gave the test--> Could not guess the pattern convincingly for 2/18 questions.
Received an email in 48 hours that they would like to proceed further with the first round of interview with the hiring manager.
2. A screening interview with the hiring manager. (30 mins)
The interview went well and he told me about the next steps of the interview process and how they would invite me for the Block 1 interviews and then Block 2.
Waited for the call to proceed further --
3. Received another email to take the logical pattern test again --- but this time in a supervised setting. (Well 365 days went by in a week - and you are actually eligible to take the test again)
With Covid-19 -- in the lockdown and staying alone, I wondered if they suspected cheating and wanted me to take the test again. I was told it was a standard procedure which apparently the hiring manager was not aware of.
The exam needs to be taken during the working hours of the supervisor, and that means during your working hours too. ( if you are in the same timezone )
If you want to do it over the weekend, well guess what you cannot.
Gave the test a second time only to realize that I did not clear it this time.
Asked for the score received it, only to realize I missed the mark marginally.
You cannot get more than 3 of those questions wrong.
Rejected from the interview process.
730 on the GMAT and rejected on this test -- which I am not sure measures what exactly?
Such a great company, with such a great product to save time and hassle for customers.
But still, needs to engage a supervisor for 15 minutes to monitor you? Is that the best use of their time? (Maybe to save time down the line when the candidate gets a call for block 1 interviews? don't know)
Piece of advice for Klarna's recruitment team:
Want to disrupt the dot test-taking process -- automate your software to detect any cheating.
Build a plugin for the browser, video etc.
[AI, and Image processing]
Result: Save 30 minutes of your supervisor's precious time.
Automate the results -- it's just 18 questions --- if the candidate finishes the test compute how many they got wrong and give them the results right away - why the delay?
One-click checkout and a 5-day delay to process a fraction?

Question 1
Question for Klarna
12 000-15 000 applications every quarter (23rd December 2019) as per Klarna`s claim.
let's say 10% move to the supervised logical test
--> 1500 candidates -> 45,000 minutes > 31.25 days
The automation can save 31 productive days of your supervisor, a 1.5 month more every year (? counting the working days).
Still wondering why Klarna is so adamant about this supervised logical test. Practice or no practice one can get 4/18 wrong, how does this fare with someone who got only 2 or 3 out of 18 wrong ? Justified they can be better product managers?
Any ideas anyone -- why Klarna invests a month of their HR's time on this amazing dot test?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Klarna (Berlín) in Dec 2019
Interview
There are broadly 6 steps of the interview. Step 1: Logical test, Step 2: HR interview, Step 3: Behavioural interview, Step 4: Skill interview Step5 and 6 are onsite if you clear all 4

How do you setup a product vision ? (The question that I failed. I know this from my feedback)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Klarna (Estocolmo, ) in Oct 2019
Interview
A coupe of interviews and one logic test. First interview with HR and then interviews with hiring manager and other product managers. The interviews were quite similar to each other.
