I applied online. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners
Interview
Sent an application via Workday. Had to an online assessment. Was relatively straightforward (competency based questions with obvious answers and personality based questions that state there are no right or wrong answers), yet for some reason I failed? Immediately received a pdf filled with automated feedback telling me what I should work on. Incredibly ineffective way of finding good people for your workplace, especially at a £30-40k job. Companies shouldn't be screening their candidates automatically at this level.

Question 1
Someone leaves a paper with confidential information on their desk. What do you do? Rate the most effective and least effective answer.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Chelmsford, Inglaterra) in Mar 2022
Interview
Was a pretty intense interview process! You have a group interview with 2 managers and other candidates. You are given 5 minutes to read through questions and then have to discuss how you would best approach situations for 20 minutes with the other candidates. You then go into a individual interview and are asked questions about yourself. I personally found it very regimented and the managers/staff didn't seem very friendly.

What 5 words would you use to describe being a good staff member.
Online interview and phone call process. Was easy to understand and undergo the process. Online questionnaire and situation quiz was straightforward. Interview was straightforward too. After interview there was a induction at head office in London.
