Initial chat with hiring manager who then passed me along to the recruiter for a phone screen before finally coming onsite.
The entire process was very disconnected and felt like the blind leading the blind. Not the smartest bunch of individuals leading this process.
I would definitely stay away from this organization.

Overall a great experience - HR was responsive and quick to provide feedback and next steps. I also appreciated the transparency in the negotiation process - I felt that their explanations were thoughtful and fair.

detailed questions about my experience and thoughts on the industry
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Jet (Hoboken, NJ) in Jan 2017
Interview
Had 3 separate phone interviews followed by coming onsite to meet with 4 people. Over the course of the process, it did not seem like the company had a clear view of this role at all. For example, responses of questions asked to senior management were in direct opposition of each other. For a company with a major branding and awareness issues, it seems like such a miss to not be doing any external Public Relations. From the in person interviews, it was clear that I would not have been a fit for this tactical role coming coming from a CPG background with experience on large consumer brands -- however, it is disappointing that afterwards, rather than acknowledging that it was not a fit the HR person told me that the role was filled... but yet posted the role again. For a company that talks about transparency as a key value, I would really question how this is upheld.
