Extremely efficient and effective interview process. Intuitive dedicates the time necessary to evaluate fit for the role and culture - between both the individual and the organization. The executive recruiter I worked with, Ken, was very responsive and available to provide updates and feedback throughout the process. The team took the time to have many great discussions and I always felt there was a genuine desire to make sure my questions were addressed. Overall, a great experience, thank you to the Intuitive Surgical team. I can't wait to get started.

Interview
I had a few calls with the recruiter and hiring SVP early in the process. Then it moved to series of zoom calls with some people on the team and a few other execs from adjacent groups. Overall I was impressed by the quality of the conversations in the interviews and the by interview process itself. By the end I felt like I thoroughly understood the role and that Intuitive had a great picture of what I would bring to it. Additionally, the communication, transparency, and pace throughout the process were all great.

Interview
After a quick overview of the position, I was inquired about my salary expectation. I briefly spoke about my experience (that fit the position exactly) before sharing my salary expectations. At this point the whole conversation went downhill and the tone completely changed as soon as there was awareness of my salary expectations (which was not a lot since I asked a very small % hike over my current salary). The rest of the conversation was super patronizing and judgmental. I understand if a company can't afford X candidate's expectations and politely declines them vs what happened in my situation where it was about judging my worth. This was a very disappointing experience and something I would have to consider before my next interview here.
