I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Insight Global (Morristown, NJ) in Jun 2016
Interview
A woman reached out to me via LinkedIn saying that I sound like a good fit for a position at Insight Global. I called her intending to schedule an interview, but she wanted to talk (or in this case interview) on the phone at that moment. I was caught off guard but did my best answering the questions. I then went to an in person interview in the Morristown, NJ office. The office was professional, and the hiring manager seemed somewhat professional. He repeated questions often which I was a little confused about, and also seemed completely uninterested. He told me more about the company and what they do. He then offered a 2nd in person interview to which I accepted. I then got an email that night from the woman that reached out to me via LinkedIn saying that they can not offer me a 2nd interview--which is completely opposite of what the hiring manager said. I responded politely but overall, this company seems to not have strong communication.

Interview
Was contacted over LinkedIn by an internal recruiter, Katie Nigrelli, and scheduled a phone interview which went very well. I then moved onto an on-site interview where I met with 2 account managers. After meeting with these 2 people and it going great I was told that the last couple people I was scheduled to speak with were busy due to a promotion in the company but that I would be contacted to schedule a lunch interview which would be the final interview in the hiring process. I called Katie,as instructed, to tell her how it went. She acted uncomfortable and brushed me off saying she would get feedback and call back. A few days later I received an email from her saying I would not be moving further. I had already received and accepted another job with another company but out of curiosity I asked why this would be the case when I was told I would be moving on to the next interview. She advised me that the account manager who told me that was not permitted to make that kind of decision but she would be happy to get me in front of a sales manager. Why would I want to do that after being rejected based on the fact that the sales manager didn't feel like talking to me that day? I now view the company as inconsiderate and this interview was a waste of my time. Even if I hadn't received another offer I would not have pursued this position based on the disorganization and disrespect of the employees

Interview
Got headhunted off of my linkedin profile, first round interview was fine. Had a family emergency right before the second round, tried to reschedule however the recruiter never returned my calls.

Question 1
For the first round it was much more of a 'get to know you', the second round was apparently much more to do with your knowledge and abilities as a recruiter.
