I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at HelloFresh (New York, NY) in Feb 2019
Interview
Overall the interview went smoothly. Met with senior leaders/executives at the company at their office in NY.
The process was much longer than I expected it to take, however. I originally went through an outside headhunter/recruiting firm; they took about 2 weeks to just schedule the screening interviews. From there, it was an in-person interview at HFHQ in NYC. The interview comprised 4 back-to-back 1:1 interviews with their senior leadership/executive team. It was another ~2 weeks before I heard anything.
It was a little strange to continue working through the outside recruiting firm as opposed to their internal HR team on things like scheduling, offer, terms, etc, but overall a positive interview experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- Why HelloFresh?
- Why this role?
- Tell us about yourself.
- Tell us about your {supply chain; warehouse; manufacturing; logistics; pricing; etc.} experience.
- Where do you think the opportunities are?
Smooth and quick. Everyone was really nice and I found the questions challenging enough. The best thing about the process is that it gave me a very good picture of what I was going to if I were to work there.

Interview
Applied via LinkedIn. Was contacted by the recruiter who wanted to arrange a 30 minute phone interview. Phone interviews were scheduled on numerous occasions only for the recruiter to not call at all. When we finally did manage to speak (3 weeks after the initial contact and 30 minutes later than we had agreed) the recruiter seemed preoccupied and did not bother to follow up afterwards. Completely unprofessional throughout the whole process and a negative candidate experience from start to finish.

How could you ensure a positive candidate experience (seemed rich considering I'd had such a negative one)
