I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HelloFresh (Berlín) in Mar 2020
Interview
I started the interview process with HelloFresh this March 2020. Initially, the Recruiter was very responsive and keen to get me started with the interview process. Answering all my questions related to company business, covid-19 impact etc in my first get-to-know round. Later they shared a home assignment related to testing/automation. The assignment was fairly straight-forward describing all the do's and don't. They mentioned there is no right or wrong while choosing any libraries/patterns while implementing tests (as far as they are not from the Don't list mentioned before). I successfully finished the assignment, put all the steps on how to run, reason for choosing certain helper library, patterns in readme and send it to them for review.
Within a day, they come up with result that " level of skill you demonstrated does not suffice for the level we are currently hiring for" that's it. No further feedback on what went well, what was wrong. It felt weird to me because there was nothing difficult in the assignment and they mentioned "it's an open-ended test and there is no binary result. " . The recruiter who was so responsive over email and linkedIn to get me started with the process, now doesn't respond to my email or linkedIn messages for getting some feedback.
All the expect from such company is atleast provide some feedback to the candidates. They put lot of efforts in completing those assignments for you. They atleast deserve bit detailed feedback than just generic rejection email.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at HelloFresh (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2020
Interview
Phone screen, then Excel Evaluation, then In-person via video call.
The phone screen is straightforward, but little room for a genuine chat or small talk. They simply read off a question list without emotion.
The excel evaluation is okay, but they ask for 12 quantitative responses within a 60 min time limit. You have to work very fast to even finish.
The in-person is 6 areas evaluated through situational questions. Two areas include “Egoless Environment” and “Speed and Agility”, so it may be worth clarifying with HF what exactly they mean by these areas.
