I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hays (Liverpool, Inglaterra) in Feb 2012
Interview
I applied online, had a phone call the next day from the internal recruiter and she asked questions around my CV and invited me to an assessment centre. There were approx. 30 people there, we had 3 stages of interactive tests and this lasted all day. I was told at the end of the day that I was through to final stages and met with a manager in the Liverpool office. He then called me the next day to offer the role.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hays (Dublín, Dublín) in Jan 2016
Interview
Was approached by an internal recruiter after applying online. From the start - it was all about 'salary'. What I would 'cost' to be in the business. Told a load of guff about the best performing people. No discussion of the teams etc. just billers. No perks discussed. Just 'clients'. I was totally put off from the start. Met with a manager in construction in Dublin. I would describe the meeting as a lot of being 'told' what they wanted not an interview as to how I would achieve these things or my past work in recruitment. They didn't like when I asked about thresholds and fobbed it off as very achievable. Look...they hire for personality not skill. If you want to be a phone monkey - they have cubicles ready. I felt that the interviewer didn't really get a sense of me - but was more keen to know if I'd be game for pints after work. I thought these types of firms didn't exist ... but they do.

Tell me about a challenging time you had with a client
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Hays (Preston, North West England, England) in Jan 2015
Interview
This was a 3 stage process which started out with a face to face interview with the Internal Recruiter. Once successful, I was invited to a sales assessment, which I attended and was successful, which then enabled me to attend a final interview with the regional director and a senior manager at the office I was to work in. I found this process to be efficient and ultimately sufficient for the post, having gone through other recruitment processes in the past which were around 10 stages. The interview process was challenging but allowed me to engage with the company and to gain a real insight in to their culture, which I found really helpful.
