I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Goodwill (Amherst, NH) in Apr 2016
Interview
I interviewed with the assistant manager, and the questions were straightforward. Asked me about how I work with others, times I would be a leader on a project, and the scheduling. I talked about the obstacles I have overcome to get to a better place in my life, that I like people and meeting people. I also did my homework how Goodwill operates and expressed what I knew about it. I even said that I liked their scheduling. I was told that they would have employees in the position by May 1st and I would hear by phone if I got the job and email if I did not get the job. I just the rejection email notifying me that I did not get the position. It is frustrating since I thought Goodwill would be more than willing to hire me (and was even told it was a welcoming environment), but it seems they are like my other experiences on retail interviews: If you show too much intelligence, you will not get hired.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Goodwill in May 2016
Interview
There was NO interview process. My email from goodwill said it as an interview for store manager-moorpark. I get there & then told I'm going to a conference room. I'm given an application. So I'm thinking, maybe the interview comes after the application. No! A class starts for job seekers entering the workforce.
Talk about a bait & switch! ! What a scam to keep their retail grant from Walmart. Classless....

Interview
I applied online and about two weeks later they called me in. It only took about 10 minutes and they offered me the job. They gave me the choice of what I had wanted to do (Donations, Pricing, etc). I chose cashier because I figured it would be a fun way to meet new people.
