I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Goodwill (Kingsport, TN) in Aug 2014
Interview
I applied in store and the President of the local GW called and asked me to come in and interview with him. He was very nice, easy to talk to, and the questions were very simple. He was mostly concerned with wanting me to know the company mission and what the company's goals were. He was concerned I may not like the long hours and the working any day of the week, including weekends. I was told he had a couple other people to interview and he would be in touch. He called me the very next day to set up an interview with the Store Manager of the location I would be hired for. I met with the store manager at the corporate offices and we did a short, simple interview, then I had to complete a basic math assessment, and then I was hired. I had to return to the corporate offices to complete my e-verification, and then I had to go to the processing center for the rest of the day. This GW required this so that all employees knew the processes of the company and merchandise. I was told to call the Manager that day and she told me to come to work on Saturday.
