I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Goodwill (Honolulu, HI) in Nov 2014
Interview
4 interviews, often with the same questions repeated just to a different audience. Some behavioral, others asking for past results. Have examples ready. Motivational fit and passion for the mission may outweigh experience.
I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Goodwill in Oct 2016
Interview
Applied and was called for interview the very next day. It lasted maybe 15 minutes and was very relaxed. Definitely not a professional type of feel. I suspect it could be very different depending on the different types of people who manage various locations. I did not get a tour of the warehouse, though I've read many people did when they were interviewing. I was also never drug tested, despite the corporate policy stating I would be. It was a little strange... I suspect this store has some issues that should be worked out within management, but that's not really for me to decide. I filled out paperwork less than a week after the interview and began working two or three days later. It was honestly a very easy process.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Goodwill (New York, NY) in Aug 2016
Interview
When I applied for a job through Goodwill, I knew there would be a series of interviews as there were. I filled out the necessary forms, took skills test and passed. About a week and a half later I began to get offers, I turn down the first; however, the second appealed to me, so an interview was arranged. The first was on the telephone with the prospective employer. The questions asked were, "are you able to lift more than fifty pounds?", "have you ever done any deployments (computer) before?", etc. Subsequently, or shall I say, I was asked to come in the next day for a face-to-face. This face-to-face was before a panel. Each asked their designated questions, and I responded appropriately. The last and final interview was with my Goodwill placement counselor, whereby I was actually being hire, and in formed as to how long my contract would be, the salary, and terms.
