I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at GoStudent (Berlín) in Jun 2021
Interview
It's the longest interview process I've ever had, which never formally ended. I'm very sad to report that the experience was extremely unprofessional.
I underwent four separate interviews, an aptitude test, and a case study (basically submitting free work) over the course of 12 weeks. On two separate occasions interviews had to be re-scheduled because the interviewers didn't show up, and no one else could be reached.
Despite all this, the people themselves were all very personable and cheerful. To make it even more frustrating, I was told on the phone I had a job offer which would be sent as soon as we got off the phone.
That offer never came, and emails, calls, Whatsapp messages went unanswered. LinkedIn connections were accepted, but the CMO wouldn't respond to my inquiries about what happened to my job offer. It's a shame such nice people could be so disorganized and unprofessional.
It's bad to be told you're getting an offer that never comes, but to completely ghost and never be in contact, especially when I've just moved to a new country and need all the support I can get was really a kick to the stomach.

Question 1
For the case study I was asked to write copy lines for a bus shelter targeting student, a cafeteria targeting tutors, and revise website copy to appeal to parents. I went above and beyond what I was asked for, and was told the CMO was extremely impressed.
Hello,
We are truly sorry to hear that you are describing our application process as unprofessional. That is not what we stand for!
We would be thankful if you would get in touch with us at hr@gostudent.org to talk about your case in detail, so we can get to the bottom of what exactly transpired and make sure this never happens again.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you soon,
Best regards,
Anna, Head of HR
