Interview
Process consisted of a preliminary phone interview, four separate video Skype calls with HQ in Sausalito, followed by a face-to-face meet with my hiring manager in London.
Without being asked, I decided to put together a PR strategy with some of my thoughts for Glassdoor, along with a small portfolio.
The Skype interviews were quite informal, however some smart and tricky questions were thrown in for good measure. This style worked for me as it gave me the opportunity to pitch my opinions, previous experiences and plans for Glassdoor moving forward. They must have liked my answers, as I was eventually offered a job!
Some people may have called it a drawn out process, but I quite enjoyed getting to know different members of the wider PR team over the period of a month. Of course, I may have had a slightly different opinion if it hadn't resulted in an offer.
Throughout the whole process, HR were super efficient and supportive. Big thumbs up.

Question 1
If you didn't have PR agency or media contacts, what would you do to launch a story?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Glassdoor (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
Recruiter was a bit curt, and made it obvious during my interview that she was not savvy with the jargon related to the design position. It was a bit cut-throat and way too quick for her to be able to get a good reading of my capabilities as an ENTRY LEVEL DESIGNER.
Thank you for your review. Our goals in recruiting include providing a stellar candidate experience and I'm sorry to hear that did not happen in your case. We really value your feedback and will use this information as we continue to train our team members. Thank you again for contributing to Glassdoor.

Interview
After a phone screen, I was asked to come in for some in-person interviews. I spoke with three members of different sales-related departments. The tone and feel was very conversational and relaxed.
Honestly, at the time, I was leaning toward another offer. However, coming in and meeting the team made me realize that this was where I needed to be.
I had a second in-person with the head of sales and I received a call with an offer later that day.
I wanted to work in a "human" environment, yet also for a company with a competitive business model and unique value proposition. The interview process proved that Glassdoor was this kind of company.
