Interview
I recently interviewed for the Associate HR Manager Internship role with General Mills. I have been so pleased with how intentional General Mills has been about managing to the candidate experience. From the interview to the follow through. Even after the extension of an offer, there has been no unwarranted pressure to make a quick decision. Instead, they want to ensure that you as a candidate are 100% confident about your decision when you come on board. The positive experience and the interactions that I have had with employees within the company, has further affirmed my interest. It is evident why General Mills continues to be successful at both attracting and retaining top talent.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at General Mills (Madison, WI) in Oct 2015
Interview
I applied through my university and had an on-campus interview. The woman sits with a laptop and types your answers. She was very stoic and gave no comment or thoughts on your answers. Go through some behavioral interview questions and prepare answers beforehand.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at General Mills (Columbia, MO) in Oct 2015
Interview
I met the recruiters in the business school and also at the Career Fair and you had to submit your resume two places before they hand picked you to interview. In the first round interview I was asked about 8 behavioral questions. They were pretty detailed questions, not just your typical behavioral questions.
