I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Gap Inc. (Orange, CA) in Sep 2013
Interview
I applied in store by filling the forms. They called me very next day and we had a group interview by the other day. Then, they asked for the documents and they started training next week. It was very easy and smooth process. Store managers were very friendly and easy to reach.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Gap Inc.
Interview
First, I submitted my resume during a career fair and online. I got the quickest response from the Career Fair - I got asked to an on campus interview the next day. Interview was about 20 minutes asking in depth behavioral questions. Some typical, some atypical like "name a time you were in an ambiguous situation." Then, I got an email back I think about a week later for my second round interview - this project you have to do that takes about 15-20 hours. Really in depth and a lot of work, but it is a good way of exercising your strengths and to show your experience in retail. Then a little less than a month later, I got the call I made it to the third round - final assessment day in SF, California. There, it was two 45 min interviews - both 2 on 1 asking about your project and behavioral questions.
