I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at GSK (Rockville, MD) in Aug 2023
Interview
Slow process overall from the initial screening to the actual interview. The technical panel seemed unenthusiastic during the interview as if they were forced to do it. After the interview, the TA contact ghosted me. I had to follow up twice to learn the negative outcome of the interview. They make you feel small just because you are seeking a job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
STAR-based questions as if they were going through a checklist. They did not appreciate my varied experience and kept asking the same questions again and again
Thank you for your review – we’re sorry you found your interview a disappointing experience. We take your feedback seriously, and we’ll be using it to make improvements.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GSK (Stevenage, England) in Jul 2023
Interview
Four phases: 1. Initial Recruiter chat 2. Arranging the interview time and date with HR 3. Panel of interviewers: 1 hr call, PowerPoint presentation + question 4. 4x15min chats with different people
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Past experience questions Questions related to the scientific presentation Questions about values
Phone screen with someone from HR (no technical questions), then a 1:1 call with hiring manager, followed by a panel call with 3-4 people. Much more streamlined than having multiple 1:1 interviews. There was also a timed writing assessment that you had to complete while on zoom.

Question 1
Asked about my communication styles and decision-making process ("tell me about a time you had to make a difficult decision").
