I applied online. I interviewed at GLG (Austin, TX) in Jul 2024
Interview
The first round was a phone call, which I expected to be simple like usual (tell me about yourself, why this role, etc). The regular stuff happenened then I found out... This was a case study (they call it an "exercise"), and the lady interviewing me was very condescending. I felt super embarrassed after. Heard a rejection like 3 months later...
The interview process was general, HR screening then technical round.HR screening consisted of basic questions about myself, whereas the technical round had questions about the different modern age technologies used for data analysis.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at GLG
Interview
I had applied for the company twice. Once last year and I went through the whole interview process it was 3 45 min interview rounds and one case study. After doing the back-to-back interviews I waited four more weeks to tell me that the team loved me, and I was very qualified, but the position was filled. I applied again recently with new experience on my resume and was asked to interview again. During my first-round interview the interview had cut it short saying he wanted to reconnect with the recruiter I worked with last year to see if we can expedite the interview process. Mind you I did not get to do the interview he had just asked me the typical what do you know about GLG and what made me apply to the role. Which is when I said I had applied before and explained what happened before. He said he would reach out to me the next day and two days had passed and I didn't hear anything I emailed him and I emailed his superior did not get a response from either of them. On the third day the old recruiter I worked with last year reached out to me saying I did not meet their qualifications which made no sense to me because one I did not get to interview given that I had A NEW JOB EXPERIENCE and second why would I have been invited to interview again if I did not meet qualifications. Overall, very frustrating.
