Applied online, received an email the same day asking basic questions. After that they set up a phone interview with me. They were friendly and explained the whole process prior to the interview. They were quick, efficient, and wrote down everything I said.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked a lot about their company and their work model. Wanted to know how me experience related to the position.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at GLG (Austin, TX) in Aug 2015
Interview
Everyone I spoke to was very nice and had good conversations with them. You can tell they love GLG and think that GLG is a very prestigious company.
First Round: Phone Screen (Why GLG, What does GLG do)
Second Round: 2 (30 minutes) interviews with Managers (Why GLG, Resume walk through, Talk about how your past experience is applicable to the job)
Third Round: 3 days to complete a Case Study (basically finding potential industry leaders to recruit into the network)
Fourth Round: On site interview (20-30 minute conversations with 4 or 5 senior associates and managers)
Received a rejection letter after all of this, from an automated no reply email.
Would have been a more positive experience if they gave me some feedback on what went wrong, or even a personalized e-mail would have sufficed.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GLG (Dublín, Dublín) in Sep 2015
Interview
Replied to an ad on the company website, that sought a Russian-speaking intern. After having two phone interviews with them, I was invited to an in-house interview at their office in Dublin. This came to a considerable expense, as I had to fund my own accommodation and travel, even though the firm 'turns over millions'. The interview was lengthy and focused on more personal questions, as opposed to anything company/competency related.
After the interview, GLG sent me an email which stated that the 'position' advertised is no longer suitable for the company and the recruitment process will not be pursued further....Why bother advertising? Or are they just incapable of giving constructive feedback?
