I applied through other source. I interviewed at GLG (New York, NY) in Feb 2016
Interview
I have to say this was the tackiest experience of my life. I have never ever in my life been involved in such an unprofessional, tacky disrespectful interview like my experience at GLG. My interview was cut extremely short I didn't even get to meet with the others who I was scheduled to meet with bc they were "busy". I found it disgusting that not only they cut my interview short with no warning but I didn't even receive a proper apology.....I took off of work to meet this team and they showed little respect to my time and energy I put to come in. To be honest the position seemed very JR for its titlle and bc I thought the interview was conducted in a tacky way I didn't even send a thank you note. This is the FIRST time in my life that I did not send a thank you note.
Also I caught the interviewer rolling their eyes at me and responding in a condescending way. The interview felt hostile so ultimately they did me a favor.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why GLG?
If you had 10 socks and it was dark in your hotel room and you can't see, how would you make sure you have matching socks?
If there are three light switches down stairs and upstairs has three light bulbs how would you determine which switch goes with which bulb? You can only go upstairs once.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GLG (Dublín, Dublín)
Interview
First step was an initial phonecall with HR rep, followed by a language screen with an associate two days later.
Then invitation to GLG's Dublin office for a face to face interview. The interview process took about three hours with four different interviewers. Generally good atmosphere, the interviewers were a pleasure to talk with.
After the interview it took HR more than one month and several Emails and phone calls on my part to give me a final update on my status, which I found to be quite unprofessional.
Unfortunately the application was unsuccessful in the end, however the interviewing process was quite pleasant, except for HR's post-interview behaviour.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at GLG (Austin, TX) in Nov 2015
Interview
Three rounds. First round is two, 30 minute phone interviews with two different people. Second round is a case study. Third round they fly you to Austin. Being in the Austin office gives you a really great feel for the company dynamic.
