I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at GLG (Gurgaon, Haryana)
Interview
It took almost 10 days. Initially there were 2 telephonic rounds just to assess the communication skills. I was then called for a face to face interview at their office in Gurgaon. 3 interviews were taken and none of them was technical. They only asked one single question, Why GLG". After that I was given a case study and made to write an email relevant to the profile. The next day, another telephonic round was conducted and I was given a very positive feedback. They called me again to their office for another round of F2F interview. The regional and the country head interviewed me. As soon as I reached back home, they called me and said that they consider me fit for the post of Compliance analyst so they want me to have all the previous 10-12 rounds again with another team. However, they did not disclose the results of my earlier process. After I declined their offer, the HR called and said that they are hiring only experienced candidates for the first profile so they won't be selecting me. I was actually very angry as I had already mentioned to them during the first round that I was a fresher and they had confirmed that experience was not required for that particular profile.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GLG (Austin, TX) in May 2016
Interview
Applied online, had an initial phone interview with an HR rep (~15 minutes) then a 30 minute call with a manager of the survey team the next day. After that was told I would need to schedule three video interview, one an hour and 45 minutes and the other two would follow based on if they want to continue on with me. The first video interview was awful. My interviewer was late, therefore I was asked the same questions twice. I was thrown into a case study that is supposed to simulate what interacting with a client would be like as a Survey Associate. They provided no guidance, claimed they weren't checking content just what kinds of questions you asked and how you spoke with the "client". Was provided feedback on the spot and it was nerve racking. It would be great if they would explain a bit more on what the overall goal of the interaction is, especially because they aren't entirely explicit about how the relationships are like between associates and clients.
Heard back the next day that they are going with someone else. I'm not sure why they have such an extensive interview process. I was asked the same exact things each interview and it didn't seem like there was much discussion between the interviewers about me. Other than that, it's essential you really know GLG's business model well. Watch their videos they have on their site, read through their FAQ section, and be able to describe in your own words why you like their model and why you want to work with them. It isn't a difficult process at all as long as you know that, the problem is it's an intensive process and I feel like I wasted a bunch of unnecessary time, especially because i had to take off from work for that video interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why GLG? What do you know about GLG's model? How did you hear about us? Other basic behavioral questions.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GLG in Apr 2016
Interview
Had a 15 min phone interview and two weeks later they sent me a case study to complete. I completed it and waited two weeks before they let me know they wanted to interview me in person. The process seemed disorganized but when I flew out for an interview everyone was very nice. It seemed like a great company but low pay. Pretty standard interview.
