I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Evonik (Blair, NE) in Jan 2012
Interview
The interview was conducted with two pairs of supervisors who asked the same set of questions that lasted about 30 minutes each. They then reviewed the responses to which they applied a score and used that score to decide which applicants to select.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Evonik
Interview
I applied through online and got a first HR call after a month. Then the process took 4 weeks including a HR interview, a technical interview over the phone and a final on site interview.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Evonik (Lafayette, IN) in Feb 2016
Interview
Interview consisted of a 30 minute phone screen and a half-day of onsite panel interviews. The onsite interview included a 20 minute technical presentation about my previous work and a few informal technical "quizzes", such as showing the ability to read P&IDs. Interviewed with HR, Business Teams, and Plant Manager. Interviewers were very polite and asked mostly useful questions. They avoided the "cliche" interview questions for the most part.
