I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Okemos, MI) in Oct 2015
Interview
Very brief. Asked to come in for an initial interview then asked to return for a second before being offered the position. Sat down with one of the daliy managers for the first interview then met with the store manager for the second. Both interviews lasted about 15 minutes.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions asked in my interviews were very basic entry level part-time postion questions. Why I wanted to work for a sporting goods store, prior work experience, name a time where I had to handle an uncomfortable situation. How did I feel about working with customers and providing great custmer service.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
The interview was relatively brief, I was asked mostly about my knowledge relevant to the sports passions that I share. Questions relevant to actual leadership were limited to how do you handle accountability. Although I came prepared to answer deeper questions, it seems like they just want somebody who knows about sports and not necessarily about retail leadership or merchandising abilities.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Chesterfield, MO) in Oct 2014
Interview
First interview was with a low level manager. Asked typical questions. Took a quiz on the computer. The quiz was a skills type quiz. It asked the same question over and over, but reworded to see if you would answer consistently. Then did my second interview with the store manager, seemed like the same questions, then I was offered the job.
