Bewildering, disrespectful.
It's weird how hard they push you to complete their ridiculous interview process, and then completely ignore you after you invest hours and hours completing their tasks.
I clicked on something on LinkedIn, and started to fill out the application, but got that feeling I was being sucked-in to something sketchy. I left the application without completing it, and kept getting reminder emails every couple days to finish.
I should have trusted my gut, but after job searching for a few months, I was willing to try anything. I went back and spent several hours completing the task, after which I expected to get some type of human response.
Instead all I got was another task. I felt duped and didn't complete it. But then again, constant email reminders, and sooner or later I cracked.
They really have optimized the process of making you feel like the end of the process is just around the corner. But every time you think you're finished, there's another task to complete.
They even tell you "this will take 4 days to review," and so on. But they never hit the deadlines. There's an email to contact if you don't hear back in time. If you send multiple emails, you'll eventually get a form letter that they are still reviewing your application.
After 10-15 hours of tasks and several weeks of waiting, I finally got an interview with a "VP" who must have been all of 23 years old, and very clearly in her first job out of college. She promised to provide an update within a week, but of course it was radio silence. After several email follow-ups, I got the form letter response that my application wasn't selected.
It really feels like there is no job here, and they are just performing some type of data mining experiment on job seekers.
