I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Coach (Columbia, MD) in Aug 2012
Interview
The interview process is done in two steps. The first interview is done with the hiring manager (usually the Assistant Store Manager) who does an interview in a group. They ask about your lifestyle and standard interview questions and also "why do you want to work for Coach?" As long as you do a quick google search about the company and what their goals as a business are, you are golden. Make sure you speak up, speak clearly, and intelligently.
If you get called back, you will be interviewed by the Store Manager who asks similar questions, but it is one-on-one. During the interview they ask you for specific lifestyle questions ("can you tell me a scenario where...?") and at the end of the interview they ask if you have any questions for them. Make sure you ask questions. They like curious people because it shows incentive and interest in the company.
