I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at City Year (Boston, MA) in Mar 2015
Interview
I first applied online - I went to the City Year website and applied to be a City Year Americorps Member in Boston, Massachusetts. From that application, I got a phone call saying that they would like to schedule a phone interview with me - I had about a 30 minute conversation with a City Year recruiter, and then they asked me to come to the City Year Boston Headquarters for an in person interview. About a week later, I got an offer to be a part of City Year Boston.

Interview
I had a phone interview with one of the recruiting managers after submitting my online application, followed by in person interview with an impact manager. The entire process took less than 1 week because they were looking to fill the position quickly.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at City Year (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2015
Interview
Online application with a couple of essay questions about why you like working with kids and why you think you would be successful at this job. I got an email a week later that asked me to sign up for a phone interview since I was in a different city when I applied. There was supposed to be a screening interview, but I guess they skipped it for me. The phone interview lasted about 45 minutes (dependent on the questions that you ask your interviewer at the end). It was relatively easy and felt more like a conversation than an interview. The woman was very nice and I heard back from the company two weeks later with an offer.
