I replied to a job posting and received a phone call rather quickly. Two phone interviews followed, one with HR and one with a manger. I was asked about the project management methodology and my experiences. I went in for a face-to-face meeting with the manage that was very relaxed. He wen over the role and asked my opinion. Two days later they made an offer. It was all conducted professionaly and curtiously.

I attended interview in Chennai(22-nov-2014)
After i finished all my formalities i entered into hall. They arrange interview in canteen.Before going into the interview i want to share about atmosphere. Its neatly arranged and good planning by CGI.First they check my certificate.After they allocate a seat to write my aptitude.
1st round:
1st round is a combination of apt and verbal. There was 25 questions(Time-30 minz). From verbal 10-12, from reasoning 7-9, balance from numerical. not a tough one to clear if you are familiar with R.S Agarwal(cut off was 12). verbal is little bit tough
Around 50% of candidates eliminated here.
2nd round:(GD)
Many companies Will treat GD as the bulk elimination. but in CGI not like that. Candidares who clear 1st round divided into teams(10 per team). Each team handled by one.
They just check our communication and gramar. They didn't except more fluent.From each team min 3 people eliminated.
3rd round:(Technical 1)
It was the first round of technical. it is purely based on technology in which you trained.They will check for Basics only. If you are very good in fundamental then you can easily crack. I went for PL/SQL.
Some of the which shot on me are what is encapsulation?,Write a prog to swap 2 numbers without using third variable?,Database objects,triggers,stored procedure, Some basic queries in SQL,
in this round around 10-15% of the candidate rejected.
4th round:(TechnicaL 2)
it took some manager in CGI.
In this round there are two feed back.some people face some difficult questions from technology where some people ask very basic questions from technology and some HR questions.So be prepare for this round
in this round 10-15% of the candidate got rejected.
Interview starts with more than 200 people. When I was waiting for My last round there was around 15-20 peoples who sat with me.
5th round:(HR round)
If you clear all the round that means that you can meet HR.
for myself HR explained CTC package to me.And he got my photocopies of my certificates.
Before this HR ask me to give intro about me.In that He spot some error and give advice us(we attend as an team) to improve my communication. Finally he congratulated me and i moved out.
HR told,"If you shortlisted you will get a confirmation mail from us"
now i am waiting for my result
