Technical Round (1 hour, onsite)
You will be given a system design problem. The problem I am given is a simple data pipeline + monitoring topic - Unstable Test Jobs Alerting System. You will need to decide
- What is the input
- What is the output
- What are some of the considerations on bridging between the input and output
- Make assumptions
The provided information will be extremely limited that you need to make assumptions and ask questions. The interviewers ARE your teammates (based on my context) so make sure to communicate well with them about your doubts, assumptions and clarify their questions if you find it vague.
Managerial Round (25 minutes, online -> I conducted onsite since I am still there after Round 1 and the manager is there as well)
Here is the typical "Tell me more about yourself" kinda interview. It is very important to look through your interviewer's profile beforehand to be able to communicate effectively in this round. Express interests about both the interviewer and the role is recommended. There is no "Success criteria" for this round as it depends from manager to manager. Make yourself comfortable, converse like a good worker/teammate and show enthusiasm.
