I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Chubbuck, ID) in Feb 2015
Interview
Apply with resume and letter depicting why you are a match for the position. First, over-the-phone interview with HR, then scheduled in person interview with 2-3 managers and HR. Politics are definitely involved as seen by who hangs around together outside work and who gets selected. Very frustrating experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Approximately 10 questions in which they are seeking exact, correct answers that they want worded in a precise manner. If not worded and phrases not chosen as they seek, position will not be offered. Even if the information you provide is correct and states the same no they seek... phrasing is essential.

Interview
had an interview with a recruiter on the phone and then an on-site interview with 2 management. process didnt take long from start to finish but there was a delay before the job offer. I feel like the manager spent a lot of time...studying... me to see how i answered things. I think they cared a lot about how I answered instead of what the actual answer was, which I guess works for customer service.

recruiter asked basic questions on the phone about customer service and working with others. basic questions if you ever interviewed for a job before...very similar to other call center jobs.
