I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture
Interview
My experience was pretty much the same as everyone here, even though I was off cycle.
I was referred to the position by someone who already worked at Accenture. Within 2 days of applying, I was contacted by email for an interview. The first interview was standard, essentially to make sure I didn't lie on my resume, to ensure that I knew what I was in terms of the job (the travel requirements are restated throughout all three interviews.), and to let me know what the next stages would be like. It was done over the phone with a recruiter.
The second interview was conducted with a hiring consultant (someone who no longer works for Accenture, but was high up when they left) over the phone. It was a behavioural interview asking how you react in certain situations. My interview lasted about 1.5 hours (the norm is about 40-45 minutes) but it's because we ended up just talking about my experiences and their experiences. It was quite casual.
Two days after I was contacted by the recruiter to set up the third/fourth interviews. There would be 2 in person interviews on the same day. Both were done by Sr. Managers with my regional office. Both were exceptionally casual and were advertised as an informal conversation. They asked 2 questions each about leadership and then I got a chance to ask questions as well. In between both interviews, they quickly discussed something between themselves. Both interviews averaged about 40 minutes.
What I felt was the key to getting the interview and being able to move on each step was having strong grades in school, being confident in my behvarioural and situational questions, and honestly being very open to travel and learning.

Question 1
All questions they asked were pretty standard, they asked all situational and behavioural questions.
I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture (Canberra) in Apr 2013
Interview
I went through a longer process as I had scored just below their cut-off of 70% average at uni. I met with the recruiters at a grad job fair and they remembered me from it when they considered my application. I was totally unprepared for the phone interview - they didn't explicitly say that it was an interview. It wasn't too bad, they just wanted to ascertain that I had citizenship and was studying an appropriate degree.
I had 3 face to face interviews. One was based on assessing evidence of skills / behavioral factors they require all employees to have, where I had to provide examples of where I have demonstrated particular skills based on situations from work and uni.
The next one was reviewing my education details & work experience, understanding your awareness of Accenture and the role I applied for and establishing my career goals. The questions were things like "tell us about a time you had to balance competing priorities".
The final one was focused on my career history, and my interest / suitability in the role I applied for and Accenture as an organization. I didn't think this one went particularly well as I came over dizzy (the room was stifling!) but it must have because they contacted me the next business day.
My overall experience was that they followed up after each round quite fast, but all but one of my interviews was rescheduled. I wish they had just stuck with original timings instead of changing them multiple times.
