"Not a good plan. You get 1k paid to your HSA, but the deductible is 2k, so you have to add to your fsa to cover. And the out of pocket is 7k before care is "free." DTA."

"GE offers it but there is simply no way to take it. The workload will not permit. GE will take over your life 100% or you will simply not be able to perform to expectations."

The flex time is great because you can bank your hours and use them towards vacation later. However, if you resign, not only will you loose the compensation for the hours that you worked, but GE will not allow you to take a vacation or take pay once you have put in your notice. I would not recommend telling GE that you plan to quit until you have sued up your flex hours.

A fairly average benefits package. 401k offers reasonable matching through Fidelity which has a good array of investments available. Time off is up to 3 weeks from the start which is a huge improvement. Be wary of relocation benefits through Cartus as they come with a 2 year retention agreement and are frequently poorly managed.

The benefits package for salaried employees is being cut back with nothing but a letter from Corporate. No entitlement to vacation for Executive Level employees without managerial approval. No entitlement to remaining vacation if you leave the company for Executives. No longer offering life insurance to retirees. No longer offering supplemental medicare insurance to retirees. All without warning, and without any grandfathering in long service employees.
