Pros

The company just merged and before, it was great. The people are very friendly and great. Work life balance is good and half day Fridays during the summer is definitely very good for employees. Location is very good, close to route 3 and 128.

Cons

There has been a lot of layoff due to cost cutting. While it is understandeable to reduce cost, that does not mean you hire people at the same time. Just 2 days ago, 6 positions opened up while there are people still leaving due to layoffs. At the same time, people are laid off and getting replaced by people fresh out of college. People who have been laid off have been told to train these new fresh out of college who are probably paid a fraction of the person who got laid off.

the potential is there for iRobot to be great...

Cons

but we just can't get out of our own way... no one wants to listen to how to make things better. We are a company of individuals, teams are toxic, may no longer be reparable at this point.

Awesome staff, management, and work life balance. Love the people here.

Cons

Starting to focus too much on DEI and having a woke culture. It does not make everyone feel included. It causes division by focusing on skin color and gender rather than quality. I personally don't care what skin color or gender I am working with; I care about the quality of the person's character and skills they have. (I am a minority by the way.) This is ruining an otherwise great company, in my opinion.
