The most disappointing part of my experience wasn't the layoff itself, but how it was handled. Tenure, deep industry knowledge, and meaningful relationships built over the years were tossed aside with little thought. eXp's leadership, particularly under CEO Leo Pareja AND, most of all, Glenn Sanford, has made it clear: loyalty and experience don’t matter here. The shift toward AI is inevitable in any industry. Still, when it's used to justify cutting seasoned professionals while boasting innovation, it reveals a lack of core values and respect for the people who helped build the company’s foundation. If you're considering a career here, know that your role may eventually be deemed “replaceable” by a machine, regardless of your performance, history, or impact.
