Pros

Any sense of value I once felt quickly vanished the moment I was treated like I was disposable.

Cons

After over a decade of dedication to real estate and loyal service at eXp Realty, I never imagined my career would be cut short, not by poor performance, but by algorithms and leadership decisions that prioritize automation over human expertise. The most disappointing part of my experience wasn't the layoff itself, but how it was handled. Tenure, deep industry knowledge, and meaningful relationships built over the years were tossed aside with little thought. eXp's leadership, particularly under CEO Leo Pareja AND, most of all, Glenn Sanford, has made it clear: loyalty and experience don’t matter here. The shift toward AI is inevitable in any industry. Still, when it's used to justify cutting seasoned professionals while boasting innovation, it reveals a lack of core values and respect for the people who helped build the company’s foundation. If you're considering a career here, know that your role may eventually be deemed “replaceable” by a machine, regardless of your performance, history, or impact.

Pros

All work is done remotely. They promote learning and growth within the company. Unlimited PTO. Pushed to spend time on automating tasks and processes rather than deal with existing workflow.

Cons

There can occasionally be a lack of communication since most conversations happen over text chat. Tight turn arounds on projects with either too little planning or way too much planning.

Thank you for this detailed review and for the years you've invested at eXp. We're glad to hear the remote flexibility, learning opportunities, and support for automation have had a meaningful impact. We also really appreciate your perspective on communication and cross-team planning. These are areas we’re actively working to improve. Your feedback helps highlight the real-world impact of how we structure projects and how we show up for one another across functions. Thanks again for being part of the team and for sharing your experience so candidly.

Pros

A lot of training videos, training seminars, weekly broker updates and many tools with monthly fees (CRM/Canva/Etc...)

Cons

Remote, so need to work independently and learn on own. Can be hard for some who need an office setting and hands on mentoring. A lot to learn, can be information overload.

Thank you for the thoughtful review and for being part of the eXp community in New York. We’re glad to hear the training resources, tools, and broker support have been valuable in your first few years. We also understand that our remote, self-managed structure isn’t for everyone. We’re continuing to look at how we can improve clarity, mentorship, and ease of access to the right support at the right time. Your feedback helps us strengthen that experience for others coming in behind you. Thanks again for sharing your perspective!
