Yearly layoffs over the last 4 or 5 years

Cons

They have had yearly layoffs over the last 4 or 5 years. This last one was after they had an "AI Competition" where they basically had the entire company AI themselves out of a job. They did this all while saying that AI is not there to replace you, but to enhance and help you. What a joke. The layoffs started taking place a few weeks after said competition deadline. There isn't any employment stability with this company at all. They care more about the agents than the teams that support those agents at the corporate level.

That deserves respect, especially from someone who gave years to building eXp. Employee departures are painful. Full stop. It doesn’t matter how necessary or strategic they are. Our intent is to help employees focus on the highest-value, most human parts of their work. It’s about increasing leverage, so each person’s work creates more value, not less. That will help us bring greater value to our customers. We’re proud of where we’re going. We’re also listening, learning, and trying to get better along the way. No office for most solo agents can make creating relationships and culture a bit harder.
