Way Too Unprofessional and Toxic

Pros

Remote, decent benefits, the people actually doing the work are great

Cons

This business honestly used to be amazing. However, after repetitive rounds of layoffs, we have gradually lost all of the people who made eXp awesome. Management acts like high school now. If you aren't part of the clique, they will target you until you leave. They recently did a secret round of bonuses that management had a say of who received them. As you can imagine, it had nothing to do with how much you do for the agents, but rather if you are liked by your manager (they probably hoped that we wouldn't talk). It is crazy that our founder is still part of the business as we are watching the place crumble. It is never a good sign when there are a large number of people who are getting ready to leave a company. And all agents reading these reviews should heed the warning. It is deteriorating quickly.

Overall Great Brokerage

Pros

If you choose a good upline, that makes all the difference in the world. I'm with the Wolfpack organization in Austin, TX. There are lots of Wolfpack members in Austin and Soomin Kim, John Michael Perez, and Jonathan "Big Country" Richards are the leaders and put in a lot of effort to create a lot of opportunities for Wolfpack agents in Austin. The support is here for agents which is great.

Cons

Dealing with brokers at a cloud based brokerage can be hit or miss with eXp. There are a lot of Texas brokers and when you call into the broker hotline, you might get a good broker or a not so good one. I don't like that at all because some brokers are way more willing to help than others and if I'm in a bind and need answers immediately, I don't need a lazy broker and its luck of the draw of who you get and/or who's working.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for recognizing the value of support systems like the Wolfpack. We're glad to hear that part of your experience has been so positive. We know that consistency matters, especially when it comes to agent support, and we appreciate you taking the time to share where things felt uneven. Hearing from those doing the work helps us better understand what matters most in the day-to-day. We’re always looking for ways to create a more supportive experience across the board, and voices like yours help guide that effort. Wishing you continued success.
