Pros

eBay has strong brand recognition. The company offers flexible working in terms of remote vs hybrid, decent benefits, and opportunities to learn from a large scale global organization. The healthcare options are okay.

Cons

My experience as a Black employee in the Product Marketing organization was deeply disappointing. There are significant disparities in how Black employees are treated and valued compared to others, particularly in titles, compensation, and opportunities for advancement. Many Black employees are in contractor or lower level titles, and there’s a noticeable lack of representation in leadership. While the company as a whole isn’t terrible, the culture within the Product Marketing org does not reflect true inclusion or equity. If you’re a person of color, I would advise being cautious and asking direct questions about diversity, advancement, and support during the interview process.

Pros

• From Day 1, my manager asked where I wanted to go in the company, showing a true commitment to employee growth. • Leaders and team members are always supportive and approachable. • The culture encourages asking questions and values curiosity. • There is a strong focus on career development and learning opportunities. • The work is fun, engaging, and meaningful. • You always feel like you’re part of a collaborative, growth-oriented team

Cons

• Training could be stronger there’s a lot to learn, but not always enough time to dedicate to it. • Workload can be overwhelming, with many administrative tasks and multiple customer calls each day. • Too many meetings and documentation requirements can make time management challenging. • Pay feels a bit low considering the amount of work and responsibilities. • Advancement can be difficult due to the level-based promotion system and high internal competition for open roles.
